somewhat interesting day today.
first block at school, i got to go with a parade of pantsless grade 9s outside to take pictures of them. yes. they had no pants. they were also wearing blazers and sunglasses. it was pretty awesome. if you ever want people to truly notice you, walk the halls of the school wearing boxers, a blazer, and sunglasses - guaranteed attention.
sports, i realized just how badly i suck at 'football', yet many of the others were as bad as me, so it evened out.
french class, i wrote yet another monologue about my objection to school uniforms. i wrote it probably a half dozen times in junior high, simply refining it more every time i used it. This was a rehash of my previous efforts, yet i was rather impressed. i linked school uniforms with communism and argued validly that they suppress the rights of the students forced to wear them. most of my arguments would not hold in a real debate, but when all the opposition has is 'people won't be bullied for their clothing', the debate isn't too hard.
double spare last 2 blocks today. i was really bored, so i spent it laying in an empty hallway listening to my Ipod. i should probably do something with this block...
Wing Tsun. We had a pretty crazy workout tonight, consisting of a drill of over 600 punches. no, that is not a typo. SIX HUNDRED. a group of 11 people, counting sets of 5 reps, ten reps per person, instructor counting twice. i'll say it again. six. hundred. we also did a drill involving even more punches, pushups, leg raises, squats, and running. we each did it three times, and doing properly, after a hard class, is rather strenuous. however, in addition to our group achievement of fully completing this, i had a personal achievement that went unnoticed until it had passed: i did 15 leg raises.
some background is necessary. last year, in Taekwondo, during self defense training ironically, i injured my back escaping a rear elbow choke. with the adrenaline, i didn't feel it for a while, and continued my training, of course making it worse, but unbeknownst to me at the time, i had a herniated disk. i'm still not too sure what that means, but it hurt alot to train. I had to take several weeks off training and work, several times, and every time it got better it relapsed. I saw a chiropractor many times before going to physiotherapy and acupuncture, and the costs of my simple mistake added up. this injury caused me to be unable to partake in many aspects of my training and life, and was not only physically debilitating but also morally. it felt like crap, and the one thing i could absolutely not do, even after my back had mostly healed and i could train again was leg raises. even one, and my back started hurting. but tonight, i did 15. no pain. i am healed. this signifies the complete healing of my back, the movement past my injury that incapacitated me for so long.

tomorrow will be good. I will make it so, for that is my power. i may not be balked by any, my happiness is my bailiwick and i will not be stopped. i will not be slowed. i will not be usurped, corrupted, molested, or denied. tomorrow will be good.
bis dann.
