*sidenote - the German government blocks probably half of the music videos i try to watch on YouTube because the GEMA has not yet allowed them in Germany. I don't understand or like this.*

yesterday, i went to an exchange meeting and saw a magician.

at the exchange meeting, which took several hours for nothing, we talked about how (some of us) were/are lonely and don't feel welcome, which was awkward for them and the rest of us. We did a survey. However, between these parts, we had breaks. the breaks were the fun part. We (the Canadians) all sat around a stone ping pong table and chatted, while they (the Germans) stood around and chatted elsewhere, and they (the Americans) stood around scattered or a while. it was pretty good times, but everything we did inside the school and the meeting was a waste of time. we also went across the street to a gas station for lunch, where we realized that the Dr. Pepper here has a funny aftertaste, and the Kinder Surprise toys SUCK! single piece or already built toys...they take all the fun out of it...0.69€ though. turns into about a buck, but .69 seems much lower than .99.

the magician was pretty cool, and despite the language barrier, his jokes were still funny. half his act was he jokes, and most of it was visual or nonsense magic words anyways, but he has some fascination with orange juice, he apparently has it in his shoe and behind but not inside his removable sleeves. his finale was with glow in the dark rings and a floating, glowing stick. it was pretty cool.

on Friday, me and the Family went to the Opel car factory, to see how to make a car. while there, the first real lingering impression i had was of the Geonosis Droid Factory from Star Wars 2. i could always hear C3P0 saying: 'machines, making machines? how reverse!' but turns out it takes them 14 hours to make a car from start to finish, and stopping the assembly line for any reason costs as much as 2000€ per minute. Pretty crazy. also, i though of a flaw in the movie IRobot while in the factory: the first robotic law states that no robot can harm a human or through inaction allow a human to come to harm. while they are in the factory with 1001 robots, and the robot strikes the officer, the 1000 good robots walk over to help him instead of converging on the renegade. that occurred to me while watching cars on an assembly line. not sure why.

I was looking at the settings for this blog and realized why i have no comments - they were automatically locked for anonymous users. it is now unlocked, (or should be). so as always, leave a comment. tell me what you think.

as of this second, this blog has 498 (Canada, America, Ukraine, Russian Federation, Germany, France) views. it has existed for 19 days. cool.
